The constitution meeting of the University Student Parliament elected their first leader two weeks ago. He is Mirko Nadjakov, a forth-year student from the Faculty of Law. He had a number of opponents in the elections, but in the second round of voting, he managed to gain the majority of votes over Stefan Kocev from the Faculty of Medical Sciences. In his first interview for the UGD FM, the newly elected President of the University Student Parliament pointed out that students must be loud and proactive.
- I will dedicate my work to make students more proactive and their voice to be heard, as well as promote the students’ magazine ‘Studentsko Eho” again after it stopped being published since few years ago. – pointed out Mirko Nadjakov among the other things he talked about.
He invites students to be more active and to come forward to their new Presidents at the faculty and university assemblies and address their problems before the authorities. One of the very first things that is planned is the election of a student’s ombudsman to represent the interests of all students. The whole interview is available in the video below.
