Prof. Dzidrov, PhD: UGD classes, exams and colloquia run smoothly

Classes at the University "Goce Delchev" during the corona virus crises are run through the Internet without any particular obstacles and problems.

Huge part of the students have classes even those from the artistic academies. In an interview on the University radio, the vice-rector for education at UGD, prof. Mishko Dzidrov, Phd, says that there are challenges, but they are currently resolved and the teaching process hasn't stopped.

- We have managed to get used to the new situation. We have already developed online tools that were previously used. UGD has a tool which was rarely used, but now it is being used as much as possible and that tool helped us organize the online lectures. It is the tool Microsoft Teams. Three days after the declaration of the state of emergency, we started with the online lectures - said the vice-rector for education prof. Dzidrov, PhD among other things.

The University has been developing electronic tools for 13 years, such as e-learning tools, e-index, e-library and many other tools through which students receive e-textbooks, electronic exam registration and a platform of all practice materials and lectures. These tools had worked before and now they are used even more and were useful the most during the crisis.

According to the vice-rector, the University is already considering developing a distance program and increased use of these tools in regular teaching, although according to him and according to many, it is difficult to predict when the crisis will end and when the teaching process will be normalized completely.
