UGD and Microsoft cooperation is deepening - Microsoft Student Ambassadors Program is open

Students at “Goce Delchev” University will have the opportunity to be part of Microsoft's Student Ambassador program, which opens up great opportunities for all students.

We will provide students a new program called Student Ambasador Program which is an ambassador program for students. They need to be only 18 years old and have active student status. Students get huge benefits such as free software, learning tools in digital labs, a monthly loan of $150 to research in Azure as well as the right to be mentored by Microsoft professionals, going to events, be guests and lecturers at various events and further getting the opportunity to become candidates for the next employment in Microsoft - said Elisaveta Nojkoska, Manager of Digital Skills Education in Central and Eastern Europe at Microsoft.

Microsoft officials announced the above mentioned today at a meeting with students and the University management, at which vouchers were formally awarded to students who applied to take the Azzure Fundamentals Certificate.

Goce Delchev University is one of the first in Macedonia which adopt online classes very quickly, due to the pandemic period that occurred, starting from March. Today, we came to a physical meeting because until now we were in online contact all the time. Today, we meet each other in live. As a token of gratitude, Microsoft provided to some of the students and professors exam vouchers, for online certificates of Azzure Fundamentals certifications. There are two students, who are in a way as winners and today received vouchers for taking exams - said Nojkoska.

Vouchers were generally given to students from the Faculty of Informatics at UGD, but also to professors and assistants who are interested in using this software.

Honestly, I am very excited to receive this voucher. I think this will help me a lot in my future career and I hope that my wishes will be fulfilled - said Kristina Zdraveva, a student at the Faculty of Informatics at UGD.

The cooperation will deepen and continue. UGD is very interested in continuing with online classes.

This visit follows the successful completion of the previous semester and the preparations for the current semester in which we were singled out as the best example for the online teaching transition. This semester, we offer a hybrid way of teaching in which we will still be in the classrooms and online at Microsoft Teams.  The collaboration with Microsoft continues. The previous semester there was a competition in which our students applied and received vouchers for taking exams on their software. During this semester we will offer other options, that will be available to students - said the vice-rector for education at UGD, prof. Misko Dzidrov, PhD.

This year, the University "Goce Delchev" is ready to conduct teaching online without any particular problems. Students have already received an electronic schedule and instructions how to run the whole process.
