"Goce Delchev" University today celebrates 14 years since its founding.

According to the current situation UGD will have several events that are within compliance to all protocols. Most of the events, dedicated to the occasion of the patronage day are related to the sports activities that have already taken place, and the activities related to the Music Academy and the Dance Department that have made a video postcard for all students.

During his speech, the Rector of the University "Goce Delchev" Prof. Blazo Boev, PhD, emphasized that this is a year of great challenges for higher education and for humanity in general.

"This year I will say we should all stay healthy, and next year all together in the same number to celebrate the jubilee patronage. Indeed, that is my only wish in this pandemic period from which we will get out only with the science help" said the Rector of UGD Prof. Blazo Boev, PhD.

The Vice-Rectors of the University in their addresses assessed the past 14 years as quite productive and useful for higher education in general.

"UGD has made a significant shift in science and education in general, and with the opening of new scientific - research laboratories, it is certain that this step will be even greater," said the Vice-Rector for Investment Development and Maintenance Prof. Dejan Mirakovski, PhD.

This year was extremely specific to higher education, but UGD managed to adapt very quickly to the changes and offer the most appropriate model of education in a time of pandemic.

"We manage to adapt and start the teaching process very soon, despite the pandemic, I believe that in the following years the situation is going to normalize, and we will become more compact University with greater opportunities for our students," said the Vice-rector for education, prof. Mishko Djidrov, PhD.

UGD is respecting all protocols to minimize the infection of Covid 19. In the period that follows UGD organizes and plans all its activities as open days to be held online. It is an innovative and creative way for the students who will be able to visit virtually UGD and get all the answers.
