The University "Goce Delchev" Stip in the July ranking of Webometrics remains on the second place among the universities in RSM.

Webometrics is an organization that makes this ranking based on multiple parameters, and the purpose of the ranking is to promote an open access to knowledge generated by the University. For the ranking, several parameters are taken in consideration - the web presence of the universities with their facilities (web metric indicators) and research missions (bibliometric indicators).

The ranking was published in July 2021, on the website https://www.webometrics.info/en/Europe/Macedonia and it is based on the presence of the Internet (website traffic of the institution, web space), openness (quotes from top authors ), impact (how much the institution is connect to other similar institutions) and science (how many scientific papers are there in the top 10% cited authors from several scientific disciplines).

Among the Universities in the Republic of North Macedonia, the highest ranked is the oldest - University "St. Cyril and Methodius". At European level, Goce Delchev University is on 1056th place, UKIM is on 593. On worldwide level, UGD has bounced 309 places compared to the ranking from January 2021, when it was on 3462 position, and is now at 3153.
