UGD and TDIZ signed a contract for collaboration
University Goce Delchev – Shtip and the Directorate of the Technological and Industrial development zones have established tight collaboration in accordance with the Contract for collaboration signed by the rector PhD professor Blazo Boev and the chief executive of TDIZ, Jovan Despotovski.
- This is the first step toward opening new possibilities and perspectives for young people in the country, after a long time was spent on talk about what needs to be done to retain the youth in our country and how can we provide them with good and decent European living conditions. One of the ways is to open perspectives for stable job positions and even more importantly to be well-paid positions. The memorandum is not the final solution, but it is a good start in the same directions and we will continue to develop this type of collaboration with the other state universities and private universities, and we are very thankful to UGD about the initiative to establish this collaboration. The collaboration means mutual work on opening new possibilities for students’ practical training, skills development and communication for all the available possibilities, because new investments have been realized in the beginning of the year that have a value of over 120 million euros, which are expected to create 2000 job positions. Also, we strive toward salaries that will be over the average salaries of the country and all of these possibilities will be offered to all future students of UGD. Naturally we are thinking of ways to include the faculties and the academic community more in the zones by the international companies. We strive toward scientific and research activities organized by the companies through the new measures that we are introducing. The zones participate with around 50% in the total export, so that there are many possibilities for the collaboration – said Despotovski, the chief executive of TDIZ.
After the Memorandum was signed, the rector Boev said:
- We share some connections with TIDZ and because of that we signed a Memorandum for collaboration that we will enable our students an entrance in the companies in these zones, which are generator of the development in Macedonia and I think that the dominant part of the country’s incomes are realized there. Herein, I believe that it’s very important for the University to collaborate with TIDZ so that our students are enabled to enter and work in those companies, and not only to find a job, but also to have solid salaries, solid living conditions and an opportunity to develop their own family. In this way, young people can find their future here.
