UGD today marked 15 years since its founding. Considering the situation, an open event was held in front of the Rectorate building, where almost all rectors of all universities in the country were present, as a representative of the Government of RNM the Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski was present, the Mayor of Stip Ivan Jordanov, the first rector of UGD prof. Dr. Sasha Mitrev, the President of the National Council for Higher Education and Science, Professor Todor Serafimovski, as well as students and staff of UGD.

• 15 years of UGD - Stip, it is an idea of ​​many generations from this region. It is realized with all the attributes of a university, a modern institution that offers a future to young people. This institution offers competencies for life. This is one of the better things that could have happened to the city. It is not the same to have and not to have a university. This is a University characterized by openness. I hope that in future, foreign people will come to the University, not only to study, but also to teach - said at the event the Rector of UGD, prof. Dr. Blazo Boev.

All representatives laid flowers at the monument of Goce Delchev in the yard of the Rectorate, and the Rector of UGD received letters of appreciation from several universities in the country. The celebration of the patronage saint continues today and tomorrow with sports competitions between the students of the University in the Sports Hall "Jordan Mijalkov".
